Open Position: Police Patrol Officer

The Town of Effingham, NH (approximate population 1,830) is seeking a motivated and qualified candidate to serve as the Police Patrol Officer.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to build a respected department, earning the confidence of residents, community organizations, and surrounding municipalities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Enforce State Laws and Town Ordinances

Follow Departmental policies, procedures, and training programs

Oversee Training, if required.

Coordinate with Mutual Aid and Regional Law Enforcement Cooperation

Acts as the Department’s representative to the Public and other agencies

Minimum Qualifications:

Current New Hampshire Police Officer Certification

Excellent Communication Skills and Writing Skills

Ability to meet and maintain all certification, fitness, and continuing education requirements

Valid Driver’s License and successful completion of a background investigation

Compensation of Benefits:

Compensation will be dependent based on experience.
